DAY 1 – Arrival in Costa Rica and transferred from San Jose International Airport to your hotel. Be ready for your Guanacaste Vacation and Costa Rica Jungle Lodge


DAYS 2 and 3 – Tortuguero National Park -  Costa Rica Jungle Lodge

An early morning pick-up from your hotel; then a coach and boat transfer into Tortuguero National Park for two (2) nights accommodations at the Pachira; Costa Rica Jungle Lodge which is situated along the canals. All meals are included. Enjoy two 2-hour boating trips (included) through the canals with a local guide to observe the flora and fauna. Expect to see beautiful shorebirds, monkeys and sloths.


On your own you may wish to hire a boat for additional exploration, or just hike along the beach & visit the village of Tortuguero. The lodge is strategically located only 5 minutes away from the extraordinary

Tortuguero National Park is located right across from the main "canal" facing the town of Tortuguero. Surrounded by a network of very scenic canals, this is considered one of the most exotic regions of the world, characterized by its richness in flora and fauna.

 

 

 


Day 4 – Travel by plane and coach transfer from Tortuguero Jungle Lodge Costa Rica to Arenal Volcano

After breakfast return by plane to San Josι to meet the driver for a private transfer to your hotel in Arenal.

Three nights accommodations with daily breakfast at: Hotel Lost Iguana or similar (for deluxe category) or Hotel Arenal Paraiso or similar (for moderate category.)

Just beneath the Volcano at the Hotel Lost Iguana (left), your view of this mountain of fire is supreme from every corner of the hotel property.

Arenal activities: While staying in the Arenal area there are many optional activities to explore such as:

• Rio Frio/Caρo Negro Wildlife Refuge
• Venado Caves
• La Fortuna Waterfall
• Hike to Cerro Chato
• Horseback riding
• Mountain biking
• River rafting
• Paddling safari float trip
• Arenal Hanging Bridges Sky Tram/Sky Trek

Day 5 – Arenal Volcano

Day 6 – Transfer Arenal Volcano to Monteverde Cloud Forest - Costa Rica Jungle Lodge

The transfer crossing Lake Arenal from your hotel in Arenal to your hotel in the Monteverde Cloud Forest is a Coach Jeep-Boat- Coach Jeep transfer.


2 nights accommodations with breakfast staying at either; for deluxe category Hotel El Establo or similar or, for moderate category. Hotel Sapo Dorado or similar

Hotel El Establo is situated in the heart of the touristic zone of Monteverde 5 miles from the Santa Elena Rain Forest and 3 miles from the Monteverde Cloud Forest.

While staying in Monteverde you may explore many optional activities, such as:

• Hiking in the Monteverde Reserve
• Night tours of Monteverde Reserve
• The private reserve of Sendero Tranquilo
• Finca Ecologica
• Butterfly Garden
• Ranario – a frog exhibit
• CASEM – the women's coop
• Monteverde Cheese Factory
• Various art galleries and village shops.

Day 7 – Monteverde Cloud Forest – Canopy Tour


Skywalk Sky Trek Canopy Tour with Zip lining (2 ½ hour duration)
Swoosh thru the canopies of a pristine Tropical Cloud Forest with the Sky Trek tour and stroll the Sky Walk suspended bridges while you check out the flora and fauna that exist in this forested wonder. Tour operates daily at 7:30 AM, 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM and 1 PM.

 

 

DAY 8 – Monteverde Cloud Forest – Day at Leisure -  See Costa Rica day tours


DAY 9 – Transfer to Guanacaste Beach

Transfer from your hotel in Monteverde to your hotel in Tamarindo/Guanacaste.
5 night’s accommodations at:

Hotel Capitan Suizo or similar; (deluxe category package) is confirmed in an Ocean view room. The hotel is situated on a beautiful sand beach on the northern Pacific coast.
Or Hotel El Diria or similar (moderate category)


DAYS 10, 11, 12 and 13 – Guanacaste - At Your Leisure

Guanacaste Optional Activities: While staying in Guanacaste region, you may explore many optional activities such as:

• Fishing
• Surfing
• Diving
• Santa Rosa National Park
• Rio Tempisque-Palo Verde
• Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park
• The pottery village of Guaitil
