Itinerary:
The lands between Auckland and the capital city, Wellington, are perhaps the most diverse of all the regions in New Zealand. In the North Island there are active volcanoes and Maori marae (meeting house), tranquil lakes and magical underground glowworm grottos, thermal mineral pools and Art Deco cities. Journey to the South Island and discover some of nature's more miraculous creations: rainforest slopes, icy blue glaciers, virgin lakes and ancient fiords – this vacation will take you far beyond the ordinary.
Day 1 - Arrive Auckland
Welcome to Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city that is situated between two harbors, Waitemata and Manakau. It is here that you can visit an Antarctic centre, sail on an Americas Yacht, or for visit the wineries of Waiheke island.
Day 2 - Auckland/ Waitomo/Rotorua
Travel to the Waitomo Caves where you will enjoy lunch before experiencing a guided tour of the Glowworm Grotto. For the more adventurous there is the Black Labyrith or Black Abyss that is an underground journey for quenching your thirst of adrenaline-fuelled challenged touring. Continue on to Rotorua and enjoy an evening Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert.
Day 3 - Rotorua Sightseeing
Today experience Rotorua’s many Geothermal varied sights and an opportunity to see the rejuvenation of the Kiwi Bird. Visit Te
Puia Thermal Reserve. Learn about traditional Maori crafts at Te Puia, before traveling to Rainbow Springs and Rainbow Farm Show. This afternoon at leisure or enjoy the relaxing Polynesian Spa.
Day 4 - Rotorua/ Taupo/Napier
This morning take the short journey to Taupo where you will be taken on a guided tour of Taupo’s highlights including the Boat Harbor, Craters of the Moon and the Aratiatia Rapids. Enjoy a visit to the spectacular Huka Falls, before continuing on to Napier. This evening enjoy a walking tour of Napier’s fascinating Art Deco architecture.
Day 5 - Napier/Wellington
Enjoy a tour of some of Hawke’s Bay’s leading wineries before traveling south to Wellington.
Day 6 – Wellington
At leisure in New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington, today, but make time to visit ‘Te Papa’ the Museum of New Zealand. This Museum is about the past, present, and future of the South Pacific island destination.
Day 7 - Wellington/Kaikoura
(98 miles – including ferry crossing) From Wellington cruise into Cook Strait before a scenic cruise through the picturesque Marlborough Sounds to Picton. Join the Tranz Coastal train (Seat-in-Coach only) and journey through vineyards en route to coastal Kaikoura.
Day 8 - Kaikoura/Christchurch
Begin with a whale watching cruise or flight (weather permitting). Enjoy a short guided tour of Kaikoura’s highlights before rejoining the Tranz Coastal train (Seat-in-Coach only) to Christchurch.
Day 9 – Christchurch
Today at leisure to explore Christchurch, called the Garden City. Perhaps visit the International Antarctic Centre – the ‘must see’ attraction in Christchurch.
Enjoy a side of a New Zealand Nature with Swim with the Dolphins, enjoy a meal that overlooks the surrounds of Christchurch or perhaps enjoy a magnificent sights balloon ride.
Day 10 - Christchurch/Aoraki Mt Cook/Queenstown
Today travel south across the Canterbury Plains, through Burkes Pass and the MacKenzie country via Lake Tekapo to Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. Continue on to Queenstown.
Day 11 - Milford Sound Day Excursion
Travel from Queenstown along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Te Anau, gateway to the
Fjordland National Park. Stop and the picturesque mirror lakes, follow disappearing mountain as you travel into Milford Sound and after traveling into the Homer Tunnel emerge into the
Milford Sound Cleddau Valley. Join your Milford Sound Red Boat Cruise and explore the many wonders of this majestic fiord before returning to Queenstown.
Day 12 – Queenstown
A free day to enjoy
a day of horse back riding into the Mt Aspiring National Park and Dart River,
a wine tour, gently cruise over Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station, or for the more adventurous, whitewater rafting, jet boat riding, or hand gliding.
A half or full day New Zealand wine tour.
Day 13 – Queenstown
Today your tour arrangements end with your flight home.

to see more of Nature in New Zealand to see the Albatross Colony, Yellow eyed Penguins and the Cadbury Factory
