This scenic tour offers gold panning, four wheel drive river crossings seeing the diverse scenery of the Queenstown area - from towns, to rolling farmland, and mountains, to the Kawarau bungy bridge. The tour offers you a view of the film locations of Minas Tirith, Misty Mountains, the Pillars of the Kings (Argonath), the site of Isildur's fall, and the Ford of Bruinen. Jet Boat ride on the Dart River - Tour from Queenstown

Located up from Queenstown the Dart River is one of the most scenic Jet Boating in New Zealand. This jet boat ride goes 1½ hours up the Dart River that is sandwiched amongst towering mountains and the refreshingly beautiful wilderness of the Mt Aspiring National Park.

Then take a short and easy guided walk, of 20-40 minutes, through ancient forests, and hear informative commentary on the area and its history - including the quest by early native Maori for highly prized pounamu (greenstone).

Return to the jet boat back down to where you began for your return transfer to Queenstown.

Dart River Fun Yak Canoeing

 

Enjoy a jet boat ride up the Dart River for 1¼ hours to the river side where you disembark. Between mountain ranges and the Dart River valley inflate a Canadian Style Canoe.

After instructions and safety information, slowly take the guided journey downstream this glacier fed river. Enjoy lunch in ancient beech forest, before gliding down to the coach that awaits you.

The Dart River Fun Yak Canoeing is suitable for most ages with average fitness, no previous experience is required. Wetsuits are provided - please bring a towel plus swimwear to wear underneath.
